We haven’t had a photographer the past few events due to poor conditons. This meetup coincided with the Surfscape Demo event. One of our members won a custom 9’3 Sakal Longboard that was outfitted with a surf grip by G Spot Sports.

It was all of our first time trying a Sakal surfboard and it paddled like a dream. We all really liked it and now one of our members owns one. We got a ton of surf stickers, hats, tees, tote bags and quick dry towel.

I personally demoed 2 wetsuits, the O’neill Hyperfreak Heat and the Rip Curl Fusion. The O’neill wetsuit was the clear winner in terms of stretch, warmth and comfort. I don’t really like to recommend things unless I really love it. And this would be one of them. All of us preferred the Oneill Hyperfreak wetsuits.
